Costa Rica. Osa Peninsula. Aguabuena, 3.5 km W of Rincón. Four hectare permanent sample plot 1 km N of BOSCOSA station. At plot tre # 42.

Habitat
In well drained undulating terrain with slopes of 15-35°. Tall primary forest with many palms and large lianas. Characteristic species: Symphonia, Carapa, Brosimum utile, Qualea and Iriartea.

Description
Tree 8 m. X 8 cm. Fruits green. Crushed leaves soaking in water develop a strong smell of marzipan. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
