3U The New York Botanical Garden Institute of Botany, Georgian Academy of Sciences Plants of Georgia Asteraceae Erigeron uniflorus L. det. G. Nakhutsrishvili, 2004 Georgia., Kazbegi region (Central Caucasus), Gergeti range, about 6km NW of vill. Kazbegi, qbout 1km SE of Ortsveri glacier, about 400m right of t Chkheri. ca. 42° 39.524'N: ca. 44° 34.407' E. Elevation: ca. 2900 m. Scree, between moraines. Plant cover 20 %. Poa alpina, Colpodium versicolor. Leaf tissue was collected from this specimen for DNA exfraction, by Joseph Kleinkopf of the UNM Herbarium, for a study on phylogenetic relationships in Erigeron (Asteraceae: Astereae). November 2024. Perennial. Stem 3-15cm. Basal leaves spathulate, obtuse, entire, sparsely hirsute-pubescent or ciliate eglandular; cauline leaves lanceolate or oblanceolate. Capitula solitary on flowering stems bearing long spreading and shorter adpressed hairs. Phyllaries commonly purplish.
