Description
10 cm. diameter, medium-hard grey-brown rope, from crown of an Eschweilera in mixed forest; leaves young, thinly leathery, minutely puberulous beneath; flowers in large terminal thyrses, rachis and branches puberulous, calyx campanulate violet purple, corolla violet-purple,, young capsules dark green glabrous. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
