United States of America. California. Shasta Co. Cascade Range, Sacramento River Canyon. Conifer forest on north side of Shotgun Creek, 0.7 mile northwest of I-5 and Shotgun Creek Road, ca. 2.7 miles north of Gibson.

Habitat
On old roadbed on southeast slope. With manzanita and sagebrush in conifer forest. Small population. Light brown soil, pH ca. 6.7.

Description
Corollas mostly red-violet, some blue-violet, tube darker red-violet, throat paler and with 2 weak ridges within abaxially, gradually flaring to orifice; lobes spreading; anthers tan. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
