Canopy 10-15 m with 80% cover, rappel on east side, wet forest. Associated
with Pangium edule, Freycinetia ponapensis, Elaeocarpus carolinensis,
Campnosperma brevipetolata, Psychotria humbroniana, Piper
ponapense,Syzygium stelechanthum, Pandanus, Fuirena umbellata, Asplénium
polyodon, Asplénium nidus.
Epilithic on cliff face, rhizome long creeping with ned-brown scales, stipe and
rachis green or with brown tinge, common.
