Habitat
Second growth forest of former farmland, on rocky, slightly hilly terrain. Betula allegheniensis, B. lenta, Quercus spp., Acer rubrum, A. saccharum, Carpinus caroliniana, Pinus strobus.

Tree 20m tall, 40cm diameter; cones brown, hanging; no sign of wooly adelgid ones brown, hanging. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
