The New York Botanical Garden “Plants of BOLIVIA Solanaceae Capsicum baccatum L, del. M. Nee, 2009 Depto. Tarua, Prov. Gran Chaco. 3.5 km N of valley of Rio Pilcomayo, 37 km (by air) SE of Villa Montes, along highway (this part still unpaved) from Villa Montes to Isibobo and Paraguay, 37.9 km (by road) and 37 km (by air) SE of Villa Montes, measuring from the highway intersection with the Villa Montes-Camiri highway. 21°24’0rS, 63°07i53”W. alt. 435 m. Chaco forest on low hills, grazed; soil sandy. With Ruprechtia apétala, Saccelium lanceolatum, Achatocarpus praecox. Calycophyllum multiflorum, Pereskia sachar osa, Very few terrestrial bromeliads.
