BOLIVIA Cupressaceae Cupressus cf. sargentii Jepson Depto. ORURO, Prov. Cercado, Ciudad Universitaria, SW pufskirts of Oruro. 17°59'25?,S, 67°08,12'*W. alt 3725 m. Seems to be the only species of Cupressus on die university campus, common and in all sizes except large ones since the campus is fairly new. Growth very vigorous, partly because of watering. Male cones seem to be nearly mature but not yet releasing pollen. Female cones in all stages (on specimens) except the old ones with seeds gone. Said to be reproduced by seed and the seedlings relatively expensive. Coll.: M, Nee 55992 11 March 2009 The New York Botanical Garden (NY) 05122095
