Clarke: 2000 Succulent; perennial, low single stem plant, up to 20cm max, thick, juicy, leaves- look like "pigs ears", young ones speckled, smooth, margins entire, red’edge,’ grey with dark freckles, opposite, 20x50cm, 4-6x10-14cm long, inflorescence; long, thin stem 20cm, with opposite pairs of flower clusters, minute 1 mm, 40 to 50 flowers per stalk common, native. South Africa, Eastern Cape, Willowmore. Baviaanskloof, track to Guema from Geelhoutbos, ±1 km from camp: 33°38'306,,S, 24°14'83"E Haworthia sp., Euphorbia sp., Crassulaceae, Poaceae.
