Heliotropium viHosum Sp. pi. p. 741. Phytogeogr. value: A plant of the East Mediterra- nean sub-element. H. villosum belongs to the summer segetal flora. Its charac- teristic habitats are dry and irrigated summer crops, where it is usually accompanied by H. europaeum, Crozophora tinctona, Linaria Elatine etc. It is more common in the light soil belt than in the mountain parts of the country.
