Phytogeogr. value: A species of the East-Mediter-
ranean element.
The ecological and phytosociologica! relations of this species
are somewhat obscure to us. It may be rather a sub-Mediter.
than an eu-Mediter. plant. We observed it several times in the
transitional Mediterraneo-Irano-Turanian districts of Palestine. In
Cisjordania it was been known only from the Judean mountain
range and from the Gilboa, in Transjordania from Gilead and
