Habitat
Deep riparian canyon. With thornscrub (Ficus, Coccoloba, Vallesia, palms, etc.).

Description
According to the collectors the species was collected in a "canyon bottom, in shade near north-facing wall." It is also said to be a rare, short-lived, perennial ca. 1 m. tall. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
