Hevea brasiiiensis (Willd. ex Adr. Juss.) Mueli.-Arg.
Enormous basally swollen tree 90 ft. tall. Bark thick, soft, internally
dark purple-red, externally brownish grey. Latex thick, white, abun-
dant. Leaflets strongly reclinate, glossy green above. Flowers pungent
aromatic, yellow. In flood-land.
Trapecio amazónico. Loretoyacu River, alt. about 100 m.
