5 miles northwest of Faribault. Growing near the northwestern shoreline of Roberds
Lake (ID 66001800), a 630 acre hypereutrophic basin situated in hummocky to
rolling terrain. Water clarity poor; paint green in some nearshore areas. Moderate to
heavy shoreline development; many lakeshore homes with riprap shorelines.
Observed only one small stand of floating leaf vegetation on basin; many areas
devoid of submerged vegetation in the nearshore. Individuals seemingly local and
sparse; did not observe elsewhere during lakewide meandering survey. Collected in
1 meter of water depth. Associates include Elodea canadensis, Heteranthera dubia.
Sand-silt substrate. Elevation: 310 m.
