Chara globularis Thuill. NE1/4 of SW1/4 Sec. 10 T032N R23W 45.27430 -93.19685 3.0 miles northeast of the town of Ham Lake. Growing in the western basin of Netta Lake (ID 02005200), a shallow 115 acre basin situated in level to rolling terrain in the Anoka Sand Plain Ecological Subsection. Basin nearly completely Typha- fringed, but still having adequate shallow nearshore habitat. Shoreline development moderate. Water levels low. Water clarity and plant richness excellent - a gem of a lake for the area. Individuals local, common at site. Depth: 30 cm. Full sun. Associates: Chara cf. contraria, Nitella tenuissima, Potamogeton gramineus, P. zosteriformis, P. natans, Najas guadalupensis, N. flexilis, Brasenia schreberi, Schoenoplectus subterminalis.
