4.5 miles northwest of Watson. Lac qui Parle Wildlife Management Area.
Individuals forming small, but dense patches within a series of open, cold water
pools flowing down slope on the southwestern hillside of a calcareous fen.
Additional individuals observed 75 meters to the southeast in marly pools running
down a southeastern slope. Most individuals submerged in ~2 centimeters of depth;
some slightly emerged above the waterline. All observed bright green and not dried
out. Associates include Typha latifolia, I angustifolia, Equisetum arvense, Carex
interior, Eupatorium maculatum, Pamassia glauca, Schoenoplectus pungens, S.
acutus, S. tabernaemontani, Juncus nodosus. Elevation: 299 m.
