5.5 miles east of Kilkenny. Growing near the eastern shoreline of Caron Lake (ID
66005000), a 320 acre shallow, eutrophic basin situated in hummocky terrain. Water
turbid and brown-green in color; filamentous algae common on submerged
vegetation. Individuals occasional at site, but observed growing abundantly in a few
areas on eastern side. Growing on shallow delta flats of sand-silt where Devil Creek
inlets into basin. Water depth: 15 centimeters. Full sun. Associates include
Zannichellia palustris, Najas flexilis, Ceratophyllum demersum, Lemna trisulca,
Potamogeton crispus, Stuckenia pectinata, Typha sp., Nymphaea odorata,
Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Spirodela polyrrhiza. Elevation: 321 m.
