Growing near the northern shoreline of Sanborn Lake (ID 40002700), a 340 acre shallow, eutrophic basin situated in rolling to hummocky terrain. Kayaked throughout small shallow, open water marsh area between public water access and main basin; access to main basin blocked in by floating mats of Typha. Water clarity good. Individuals occasional throughout sheltered site in 45 centimeters of depth. Other associates include Ceratophyllum demersum, Stuckenia pectinata, Schoenoplectus tabemaemontani, Zannichellia palustris, Chara globularis, Najas Jlexilis, Spirodela poiyrrhiza, Lemna trisulca, Ranunculus sceleratus.
