3.5 miles south-southwest of Grey Eagle. Growing near the western shoreline of
Big Birch Lake (ID 77008400), a 2,100 acre lake situated in the Hardwoods Hills
Subsection. Water clarity high. Locally abundant in 2.5 meters of water. Forming
dense patches that carpet the lake bottom. Patches occur between stands of
abundant Myriophyllum sibiricum and scattered Potamogeton zosteriformis and
Ceratophyllum demersum. DNR Permit #414. Elevation: 358 m.
