Field Char: Tree 15 m tall, dbh 35 cm, bark gray,
cracked, slash beef-red, latex milky-white,
scanty from trunk, mature fruit deep red with
dull light orange edible pulp, seeds
black-brown.
Locality: Palawan: Taytay, island on Lake
Manguao, c. 10 km SE of Taytay town.
Habitat: Primary undisturbed semi-evergreen
tropical rain forest,
sea level, 10°50’N X 119°33’E
