along main logging road and environs. Growing in open
disturbed primary forest.

Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Hopea, Myristicaceae, Fagacaeae. Red clay soil.
Morphology:
Tree 10 m tall, 30 cm dbh. Bark brown, flaking easily. Inner
bark reddish-brown. Flower salmon-pink.
