Location

Panama. Chiriquí-Bocas del Toro border: Trail along continental divide, ca. 2 km along side road W off main road to Chiriquí Grande at border; 12.8 km N of Sitio de Presa.

Habitat

Premontane cloud forest. Locally abundant.

Description

Terrestrial shrub to 2.5 m. Floral bracts, bracteoles, calyx pink. Corolla pearl white with pinkish lobes. Entire inflorescence viscid with white, milky exudate. Locally abundant. [pickled].
