Habítete. Small tree, 25*, poor form, thin crown, up to 12?
at base. BaEk pale grey/brown, thin flakes. Slash OB pale
grey, thin green line. IB granular, buff rapidly darkening to
pale brown. In new fl. & fir. I’lrs. cream inside corolla.
Outer corolla pale green. Buds tinged red-brown at tipe. In
old fr. nfeát^8* ‘brigh't* Paie green.
Growing under Pel tocho rum in bush group on contact
Mopani/dambo. Soil pitle grey Kalahari sand (overlying clay?) .
Other spp. on similar bush groups (sometimes on eantLhills) are
mopane, Ac. galpinii, Ac. nigrescens, Djos'P.yros mespiliformis.
with Zmzvpnus mucronata, Ximenia americana t etc.
Widespread in association with mopani and Other dry-savanna-
woodland ty^^,Bbu¿idnowhere common in S.p. Appears to grow on
