Arid woodland along arroyo and steep slopes, along small stream and dirt road.

Description
Abundant, especially between dirt road and fence where sometimes forming solid stands, to 1 m tall. Flowers all wilted (2:50 P.M., sunny), yellow. See Nee 49262, collected on May 8, 1998 at a nearby location, when this species was pretty well dried up.
