Hemigraphis colorata (Illume) Hallier f., Nova Acta Acad, Nat. Cur. 70:

More or less prostrate, somewhat pubescent herb, commonly forming mats of con-
siderable area. Leaves opposite, ovate-cordate, toothed, purplish green, up to 5 or more
cm. long, acute, petioles mostly 1-2 cm. long. Flowers tubular, white, about 2 cm. long, in
short, terminal, spike-like clusters.
Introduced ornamental (9964)». Occasional along roadsides and in waste
areas.
