Stream bank on mountain plateau with gentle NE slope, partial shade to foil
sun. In running water in black turf of sandstone. Native and common, pasture.
Grassland and forest with Cyprus spp., Scirpus spp., Agrostis lachnantha and
Persicaria lapathifolium.
Species only found in running water on rock bed. Perennial herb, 1 m high, with
few main stems, roots rather fleshy. Leaves alternate, simple, elliptic-obovate,
hairy. Yellow capitulum with tubular disc florets only..
