Phytogeogr. value: A plant of connection of the
Mediterranean and the Irano-Turanian regions.
In Palestine it is chiefly a component Of dwarf-bush asso-
ciations (e. g. Poterietum spinosi). It seems to be also a component
of steppe associations in the Irano-Turaniàn territoriès. — A widely
distributed and common plant in the Mediter. parts ©f Palestine
and in the less steppe parts of the Irano-Turanian territories.
