ARUSHA. Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along a dry riverine close to Orkuman river, in an area classified as lowland, "olpurkol" by Ihe Maasai. Information given by Kidami Metele and Lepilal Ole Nakuroi. (35° 14' E 3° 4' S). Alt. 1550 m. May 03, 1993 Tree. Maasai name: oldorko 4-6 pieces of 20 cm long and 5 cm thick pieces of wood with bark is boiled in 8-10 litre of water and mixed with meatsoup to dilute fat. It is not very highly estimated and not collected from far away. The decoction is brown and taste a bit bitter. Fruits are eaten. Burning charcoal is used to clean and dry milk calabas.
