Pyrola secunda L.
Nearly pure dense stand of Pinus sylves-
tris, 1-2 dm in diam (50 years old), with
scattered 6 dm Pinus specimen trees and few
Betula pendula, thinned of all saplings,
therefore with completely open pine needle
floor with next .to no understory. With
Chimaphila umbellata, Polygonatum officinale,
Vaccinium v,itis-idaaa, Solidago virgaurea
(dahurica), Pyrola secunda.
b) Mixed forest of Betula pendula and Pinus
sylvestris with understory of Lathyrus
pisiformis, Picris hieracioides, Aconitum
septentrionale (A. excelsum).
Mixed forests, vicinity of the Central
Siberian Botanical Garden, Akademgorodok,
ca. 30 km SSE of Novosibirsk.
