walk from Lookout Tower, on trail to extreme east of tower following the
fence. (No GPS, forest canopy too thick). Elevation: .
Moderate southern mountain slope, in shade, in sandstone, with humus and leaf
litter, damp. Exotic and occasional. Forest.
Perennial scrambler, 3-8, covering a large area. Stems grey, with parallel lines,
pubescent. Petiole 10-15 mm long. Leaves alternate, simple, elliptical, 4-8 x
5.5-10 cm, hairy, dark green above, pale green below, margins irregualrly
toothed to smooth. Minute stipules present.
