Coastal grassland on coastal flats, in frill sun, in well-drained soil of recent sand.
Introduced and abundant..
Annual herb of 80cmhigh. Petioles 24-30mm long. Leaves trifoliately
compound, opposite, margins serrate. Petiole and main veins mauve.
Inflorescence is a capitulum with ray florets cream, disc florets yellow, one
whorl of bracts, capitulum 8mm in diam. Achenes black, 10mm in length, needle
shaped, each with a pair of bristles.
