Information given by Lepilal Ole Nakuroi, Irking'onde-age group, and Saning'o Siroyan Ole Nakuroi, c. 85 years. (35° 16' E 3° 12' S). Alt. 1900 m. Apr 22, 1993 Twiner, flowers yellow Maasai name: omg'eriandus (big), eng'eriandus (small), specified later as omg'eriandus loonjashurri (enjashurr ~ sword sheet). Sap of the root with bark is red and used to polish the sheath of the sword. The root is chewed and give the skin a bright red colour.
