Twiner, flowers yellow Maasai name: omg'eriandus (big), eng'eriandus (small),
specified later as omg'eriandus loonjashurri (enjashurr ~ sword sheet). Sap of the
root with bark is red and used to polish the sheath of the sword. The root is
chewed and give the skin a bright red colour. It can be mixed with a red powder
bought at the market to give a bright red colour, which the sap of the root
preserve.
