Field Char: Canopy emergent, 20-30 tall; bark
with papery, light brown, outer surface.;
leaves coriaceous, dark green above, light
green below, pubescence tan; flowers
yellow-green in bud, pedicels red.
Notes: Relatively common on wet substrate; many
sightings in early flower.
Locality: Morobe Province; Markham River; at
Xuposu (pies nem) near the margin of Labu
Swamp.
Habitat: Periodically flooded alluvial flats;
scattered pools of standing water with
aquatic plants.
