Bukit Baka National Park. East of camp along bank
of Sungai Ella and environs.

Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include Shorea,
Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae. Red clay soil.
Field Char:
Climber, 7 m. Twigs densely pubescent, hairs soft,
rust orange. Sap clear, sticky. Leaves light green
above, leathery, deeply ribbed. Undersurface leaves
densely wooly, hairs light orange. Primary veins
raised, orange. Stipular spines orangish-brown, 1 cm
long. Fruit green, gold hairs.
Notes:
Local name: Rangap. Fruit edible, sweet.
