THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN Plants of Ghana No. 90 OLACACEAE Aptandra zenkeri GHANA. Ashanti: Sekyere. Bobiri Forest Reserve. 6°38’N, 1°17’W. Moist semi-deciduous forest with many lianas. Humus of topsoil up to 20cm deep. Avg.of 1500mm/y rain. Deciduous shrub or small tree with low branching and green, glabrous twigs, 13m tall. Bole crooked, unbuttressed. Bark brittle, smooth, brown.
