semi-deciduous forest with many lianas.
Humus of topsoil up to 20cm deep. Avg.of
1500mm/y rain.
Deciduous shrub or small tree with low
branching and green, glabrous twigs, 13m
tall. Bole crooked, unbuttressed. Bark
brittle, smooth, brown. Slash orange. Leaves
simple, elliptic, apex attenuate to
acuminate, base acute to cuneate, margin
entire. Glabrous.
