1980 §ino-American Botanical Expedition to Western Hubei Province People’s Republic of China Inpatiens sutchuanensis Franchet ex Hooker f. Shennongjia Forest District (31°3(KN; 110°30/E): growing in rocky loam on the west- facing slope of a small side canyon on the E side of Jizigou Canyon ca. 0.5 km S of Jiuhuping Forest Farm. Elevation ca. 1700 m. Herb to 1 m, upper calyx lcbes lilac, spur yellow with red dots above, translucent white beneath, distal portion of petals lilac, throat deep yellow; seeds said to be edible. 1980 Sino-Amer. Exped.
