Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 2.1 km NNW of Padua Sales (about 27 km. NW of city of Moji-Mirim).

Habitat
Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: along 70 m of a roadside newly cut through outer edge or tall gallery forest of Rio Moji-Guaçu, a few hundred meters east of fazenda entrance.

Description
Shrub 2-3 m tall, with single main stem, usually branched above. In most plants the lower leaves had fallen. Flowers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
