Field Char: Subcanopy treelet; bole straight; outer bark gray-brown, inner bark & sapwood pale straw; heartwood dense; fruits bivalved, lobes spreading orange-yellow, valve inner surface reddish. Notes: Seeds are lustrous, black; arilloid obsolete. Crown inhabited by numerous yellow-brown foliage ants. Locality: East Sepik Province, Waskuk Hills, spur ridge above the foot track between Garuka and Ambunti, in Glei Clan territory. Habitat: Hill forest. 60 m., 4°11’S X 142°44’E W. Takeuchi & J.
