Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include
Myrtaceae, Meliaceae, Shorea, Burseraceae. Red
Clay soil.
Field Char:
Tall tree c. 15 m, 6 cm dbh. Outer bark light grey,
rough. Pulvini very swollen. Leaves coriaceous,
viens deeply ribbed beneath. Inflorescence 35 cm
long. Flower buds small pale yellow.
