Mun. Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira, Rio Negro, Rio Cubate,
tributary of Rio Igana, 10 min. by motorboat from
mouth. 90°33‘N, 67°23'W. High caatinga.
(Semi-)cultivated tree 15m x 18cm, trunk cylindri-
cal, no buttresses; bark gray, smooth. Only one
branch with fruits. Fruits greenish-yellow, maturing
black. Fruit popular locally, mesocarp eaten raw.
