Antsiranana: Analabe forest, near village of Andalamahitsy 5 km
S of Antsirabe-Nord on RN 5 (near P.K, 254), ca 1 km E of RN 5.
Very degraded secondary forest (converted to vanilla plantation),
trees mostly open grown.

Tree, 25 m in height, 22 cm dbh. Leaves dark green above,
lighter below, flowers and flower buds reddish-pink. Leaf sample
dried in silica gel for DNA analysis. Photo.
