Guinea-Conakry, Forecariah Préfecture, village Taban, edge of
Benna Plateau, 4 km east of the village.
LatLong: 9° 37'00.9" N; 12° 55'48.6" W	Alt:	820 m
Wooded grassland on rocky plateau, rich in woody species.
Shrub, multistemmed, 3 m high, thickest stem 9 cm diameter. Bark
smooth, pale light brown. Flowers petals 5, purplish dark pink. 5
shorter stamens have yellow filaments and yellow anthers, 5 longer
stamens have the lower filaments yellow, upper filaments pink, anthers
brown-red. Leaves flushing, light green. Fruits light red to pale
brown, many very small seeds, not winged but dispersed by wind. A
group of about 10 plants present here.
