Field Char: Treelet 4.5-6 m high, sparsely
branched. Fruits with arils bright
orange-red and with the (aril) surface
tuberculate; seeds shiny black. Leaves
dry-textured, brittle, darker green on
upper surface.

BISH, seeds to Honolulu Botanic Garden.
Locality: Morobe Province; Lae
outskirts, secondary forest/farmland
mosaic near base of Atzera range.
Habitat: Secondary forest-farmland
mosaic.
