1980 Sino-American Botanical Expedition to Western Hubei Province People’s Republic of China Acer flabellatum Rehder Shennongjia Forest District (Sl'^O'N; 110°30/E): SE side of watershed divide of Changjiang (Yangtse) and Hanjiang Rivers; near km 73 from Xingshan Xian; vicinity of Muyuping Forest Brigade» Elevation 1450—1600 m.
