    General habitat: Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: dryish ground of path along raised bank of brook in shade of planted Eucalyptus tree.

    Fls. golden-yellow, standard with purplish lines near base at center. Fls. 7½mm long, standard 6½mm wide. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
