Low forest with open canopy ca. 15 m high, on steep slope
just below top of hill.
Densely branching tree 15 m x 20 cm, with low simple plank
buttresses 30 cm high, extending 60 cm from base. Outer
bark gray, relatively smooth, with sparse raised lenticels and
some hoop marks, shed in a few places in small thin
irregular plates. Inner bark tan. Leaves erect, congested at
branch apices; inflorescences erect, calyx pale green, corolla
white, thecae orange (not dehisced).
