Dense forest on steep slopes, shallow soils, many superficial
roots, canopy discontinuous, emergents to 35 m.
Tree 25 m x 25 cm, outer bark gray, with sparse, large raised
lenticels and hoop marks, shed in thin irregular plates to 5
cm long, inner bark tan and somewhat fibrous. Densely
branching, leaves congested at branch apices, leaflet apex
consistently retuse (rarely rounded). Fruits pale green,
immature.
