Phytogeogr. value: A plant of the East Mediter-
ranean sub-element.
One of the few among the numerous Trifolium species of
Palestine which seems to be a true component of the Quercetum
calliprini. Outside of Qu. calliprini it is a typical plant of rather
shady stony and rocky places.
* A rather uncommon plant of the mountain district of Cis-
and Transjordania, possessing a rather high degree of sociability.
