Description
Scandent shrub upon the lower limbs of trees. Stems and branches wiry, the latter rather long and sparingly rebranched, half drooping, nodulose; bark smoothish grayish white, lenticelled; leaves quite rigid and coriaceous, margins undulate with recurved tips, very dark green above, much lighter beneath; pistillate heads upon rather rigid subpendulous 4 in. peduncles; young heads cylindric, green except the nearly black stigmas. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
