Forest on steep terrain exposed to supra-annual cyclones,
high density of lianas and poles, open canopy with
emergents to 30 m tall.
Tree 12 m x 23 cm diam, no buttresses. Outer bark gray,
lenticellate, with hoop marks, rough, shed in spongy
Irregular plates, relatively thick; inner bark light orange.
Pseudostipules ca. 7 mm long, orbicular. Buds.
Inflorescence axes and bracts and calyx ferrugineous, corolla
and stamens cream, disk and pistillode yellow. Rare. On
steep slope.
